I have said it before and I will say it again: Moto people are good people! How often do you get an email that asks you if you want to go to the New Orleans SX and hang out for a couple of days on someone else's dime? It's not an offer that comes around all that often, so when it does finally come up, ya gotta take it. But there has to be a catch right? Apparently there wasn't.

The great people on the other end of invitation were none other than Ron and Janeen Joynt, the founders and owners of DeCal Works. And this was an offer I couldn't refuse. I'd heard of these infamous DeCal Works trips before and I wasn't about to let this one pass me by. I had met Ron a few times at the races, but knew him better through emails and sending him some photos occasionally. What's great is that they didn't offer me the trip to try and sweeten up a business deal, they are just good people who like to share experiences with others who enjoy moto as much as they do.
What an experience it was. We flew in a private jet, were chauffeured around in a Hummer limo, stayed in a great resort, and ate like kings! To say the least, it was an amazing trip.
The Joynts weren't the only ones there with an entourage though. I heard Kevin Windham had over 200 personal friends and family in attendance for the race. Unfortunately he just missed the bottom step of the box by one position, but had a good showing none-the-less.
Check out my photos from the trip and lemme know, do I have a tough job or what?
