On Saturday April 18, Pala Raceway opened its gates to eager riders ready to test out the new track. Pala Raceway is a 240 acre motocross and off-road facility. In it's entirety Pala Raceway will feature 12 separate professionally designed and prepped tracks, including: Main Motocross, Vet Motocross, Grand Prix Motocross, Amateur Supercross, 80cc-150cc Motocross, 50cc-65cc Mini, Adult Mini, Stadium Side x Side/UTV, Quad, Mini Quad, Professional Supercross and SuperMoto tracks. In addition, the raceway will include more than 300 campsites, a clubhouse, a restaurant, a three-acre fishing pond, a BMX race track, and a bike wash for all park visitors. The track is located on Highway 76, approximately seven miles east of Interstate 15, and one and one-half miles east of the Pala Casino Resort Spa.
While the track grounds are still being developed, Pala didn't disappoint the hundreds of riders who ranged from beginning 50 riders all the way to veteran pros such as Ronnie Renner.
One ecstatic 50 rider said this about the new track, "It's cool!"

Ryan Beat (yes my brother) also made his way out onto the fresh sand. "It's great to have another track in so cal that has something for everybody even the pros. The main track itself is deep and sandy, almost like Southwick. It is just a blast to ride and a great place to train for outdoors."

The massive facility became a beehive of buzzing activity. Excitement surrounded the establishment Ronnie Renner's Riding School which will operate out of the Pala track. Ronnie had this to say about it all, "I came out here to see how the track shapes up. I've been apart of the program for some time now. It's the first day and there's a lot of anticipation. I love the new track it's got like a soft background; it's nothing like any of the other tracks in Southern California."
What about the track makes it unique?
"It's somewhat sandy, and you have to really ride the track hard. It's actually what I like as a rider and what I like for training guys."

What is your involvement with the track?
"I've been opening my new business with the one-on-one rider training."
How did that come about?
"I have a cool program in the works, it's not officially dialed in as I'm still doing professional freestyle but I'm making a good transition into it and I'm planning on doing individuals with a couple freestyle guys and a couple racing prospects who I think have potential. I am going to be picky though, then I'm going to sub out some riding schools with people who I feel would be good instructors to work at the grass roots level."
How can people find out about this?
"There's a website its: www.1onwon.com"
So you also mentioned working with freestyle training would you explain that?
"Yeah, I'm going to be using the facility and the pit to train a few guys."
So you could teach me how to backflip?
"hahah Definitely, for sure as long as your not scared we could for sure get you out there."
Make sure to checkout the Pala Raceway website, as this is a track you will surely not want to miss out on. www.palaraceway.com.
