If you haven't heard the name Dean Wilson, you will. He may be one of the next big names in this great sport of ours.

My son and I cruised out to Mileston MX Park yesterday to get some riding in while Transworld held their annual riding day. Little did I know that they were also holding a very interesting pro race. There were a lot of good riders signed up so we stayed around to check it out. The format was something different than I'd seen before. There were 16 guys doing a 4 lap moto, and then it went on to head-to-head, 2 lap races. The 1st place guy raced the last guy, 2nd, raced 15th, and so on in single elimination motos. Dean Wilson drew the experienced Troy Lee rider Chris Blose in the first round. Blose went down in the 16-man moto relegating him to last. It was a tough first round for both of them, but Wilson got the holeshot, as he did all day in each race attempted, and he came out just ahead of the Troy Lee rider and never looked back.
Wilson put a few more guys down before facing Dan Reardon of the Geico Honda Team in the final. They traded spots several times before Reardon finally make a small mistake in the back that allowed him to gap him for the win. It was a big day for Wilson, for sure.
I snapped a few photos while I was there, check 'em out and let me know what you think of the Transworld SLAM.
