I am for sure going to run Amsoil 10w-40 in the engine of my new CRf, but im not sure if i should run Honda tranny oil in the tranny or Amsoil 10w-40 in the tranny also.

I run my CRF250R on 10W40 in the tranny with no problems.

Most of my friends with thumpers run Amsoil 0W-40 oil. They say it works amazing. But these are the ones with RMZ and KXF's. The RMZ and KXF doesn't have a seperate engine oil resevoir like the CRF does.

Hmmm, I'll pretend to understand.

Also, I'm 99.999% sure Derek meant to say 10W40 not 0W40 before ya'll get on his case.

Flows like a 0 weight oil, lubricates like a 40 w.

So would that make it better than 10w-40, if it flows better and protects better then i should want that right? I run that 0w-40 in my 4 wheeler it seems to work really well, but that isn't a 250cc fourstroke race bike either

Most of my friends with thumpers run it and say it works awesome, so it can't be ALL bad. I would give it a try.
