Hot glue is not chemical-resistant.
Silicone can handle air filter oil, gas, and whatever cleaning solvent you might use.(unless you clean your bike with M.E.K.)

Your airbox is just a housing for your air filter unless you mean the actual boot after the air filter. If its just the part before the filter then big deal, but if its the latter then I would replace it.

B.I.F.T. im not sure how it cracked, no it wasnt the chain and i havent tipped it over yet. it could have beeen my dad, but idk.

lol sven, u mis read me
and i guess its flexible plastic for a reason,
but hard epoxy in a small conrned or the very bottom i think would be a problem
or yea, just squish silicone in there,
tap the outside, then pack the crack from the inside, let it dry, peel the tape off and wa la dont

Haha, seems like we just have constant misreading of another posts.
Lastly, I was referring more to a marine epxoy (abit more flex).
