The brand of 85 doesnt really matter

Kawasaki, Honda, and Suzuki tend to be popular these days.

I have an 06 Kawasaki 85 for sale right now if you happen to live in florida heh.

They are all fast. I would buy whatever your racing buddies have so you can share parts with friends if needed on race weekends.

There are many good 85's on the market. I would have to say theres a tie between the ktm 85sx and the suzuki rm85. The ktm is an all around good bike an you dont have to spend a lot of money on after market parts since the latest models come with vforce reeds and many other cool features, There is one down side to the ktm 85 though, its feels and im pretty sure is talle then the rm85 and is usually preferred by taller riders. The rm85 is also an all around good bike, it has a good stock suspension and a very good power band, plus the parts are easier to get then the ktms parts. The main difference would have o be the turning radius and the price. =)
