Obviously the 05, better engine, stronger fram, better suspension, and better handeling. 2 years isn't A LOT, but if you can afford it, then why not go the for the averall better bike, IMO.

Pros might break the frame there, I doubt an average person would. This is the first I've heard of it.
I had (well still have it actually but for sale) an 03 and absolutely loved it but I couldn't justify shelling out the money for the 05 version when so few major changes were made since 03. Hence the YZ. If Kawasaki spent some money and made some real improvements to the KX125 for 06 I'd probably buy one. The YZ is great but trying to keep it clean is a pain. God knows what aluminium they've used but man does it mark and pit easy .

Ok, well heres my issues with buying the 05 when the 03 has pretty well the same frame and no MAJOR problems! And 2/3 of the price! 4300 for the 03 and 6200 - 6800 depending on where I go. So as Zenith Said is it
gonna justify for the cost?!?! All so this 03 has a Pro curcuit platnium exost!!! and all the other raceing goodys bars, porting, differnt brakes, new bearing all around. like every thing has been done!!

I meant to say if you have the money go for the 05, if not the 03 is a great bike. I'd always get the newest bike you can, less problems and maintenance...
