Always take your silencer plug out after you wash the bike, failure not to do so can result in black eyes, broken windows...ect.
NEVER tighten the oil drain bolt tight, it just needs to be snug. Otherwise you could crack your case.
when you break a lever, replace it right away. Even if the lever is still usable, other wise you could be stabbed or cut buy the lever an a crash.
prepare for the crash, not the ride! proper safety gear is a must!

5. Not a necessity BUT...Clean your bike after every ride! It helps it keep its value and it won't look like a POS as quick!
4. Clean air filter every 2 rides MAX. Your bike will run better if it can breathe better!
3. Change oil after 3 hard rides MAX. Like they say, it is cheap insurance!
2. ALWAYS properly warm up the bike. You wouldn't want to wake up and go out would you? You need some time to wake up and get ready!
#1 TIP:
RIDE HARD, BE SAFE, HAVE FUN!

when operating a torque wrench know the torque range of IT. If it starts at 10, and you thought it started at 0 =10 extra torque. Like if you were to torque your oil filter bolts and it has 10 extra torque to it, it just might break the bolt off . Now I don't know what kind of idiot would do this, cough, cough. But just don't do it, then you will have to order a new bolt. Also, if you notice your washer on the oil drain bolt flattening out like it has 100 pounds of torque on it, it might mean it has a little too much torque. Man, I hope this never happens to me......

Always put a good layer of grease on the your air filter where it meets the air box. This will help seal it against dirt coming in.
Always put Air Filter oil on the air filter. Regular oil will not trap the dirt.

- Don't ride over your head.
- Don't ride alone.
- Practice the proper riding position and techniques every time you ride.
- Wear all of your gear every time you ride.
- Have a dedicated motorcycle tool box that goes everywhere your bike does.
- Have the factory service manual for your bike.
- Follow the maintenance schedule in the manual.
- Wash and inspect your bike after every ride.
- If you have a 2-stroke, have a dedicated, clearly labeled fuel can that says "premix."
- If you have a 2-stroke, acquire a jetting guide, and learn to jet the carb for the conditions.

Always to remember to put gas in your bike before taking a few warm up laps around the track, even if you think there is enough in there, because pushing it all the way back to the trailer after it died on the opposite side of the track bites.

Always turn the fuel off after a ride...just remember to turn it back on, and if your halfway through a lap and you start hearing that "buuurr buuurr buuurrrrrrr", you most likely just for got to shut on the fuel valve.

Use the bathroom before you ride, otherwise when you dont make that big triple, and the young hot woman paramedic walks over and has to cut your pants off....
Also, keep your goggle lense clean, and make sure no dirt is flying around inside there, because once it goes into your eyes and you cant see, its gonna suck.
