				<title>gas leak?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ i woke up to the smell of gas in the whole house.. went downstairs and no1 was home n it smelled so bad i was gunna puke. so i open the door to the garage n theres my bike with a huge puddle of gas under it. i go out there and turn the gas off. (even tho all the gas in my tank was on the floor) n then i open the garage door n all the house doors to air it out. and now the bikes outside and i dont kno why it leaked. i checked to make sure the carb was on right and it was a lil off, but not enuf to make gas leak like crazy...

any ideas? i dont kno were to start!!]]></description>

One time I wiped my 96KX250 out so bad at the dunes I pushed my FMF
Fatty into the gas tank and it burnt a hole in the plastic fuel cell.

I let it cool off (thank God there wasn't a fire "down there").

I took it back to our pit and shaved some strips off of a bar of IrishSpring soap and pressed the shavings into the hole.  I rode that bike for 6 more months without it leaking a drop.

Always carry a bar of soap in your gear bag and offroad vehicle tool kits.

It's an old pilot trick.
