Im heading off to my first race tomorow morning. Gotta break in the new top end for a while when I get there, then do a little practice. Im staying the night out there with my dad. My moms showing up sat. I wish my bro's would go and see how far ive come but they dont like mx..oh well. Come Sat. I will be lining up at the gate for my first race. I dont know all you guys do it. MY heart starts racing everytime i think about when the gate drops. I think i may have a heart attack after a few races..lol Wish me luck and any tips would be nice.

Im gonna try to go man. I noticed its much easier at the races when your lined up with your friends. Way easier. Also, your not racing for money so dont worry about it too much, its suppose to be fun :D . So have some fun man! Haha, trust me, if you dont worry about it and just have fun out there you'll win. Just relax! And Im still trieing to go. Its 70 bucks for 2 riders and my dad. Im gonna have to pay a visit to the coinstar because Im almost positive I have the money.

Good luck, and don't worry about the "butterflies", even the pros have 'em! They go away as soon as you dump the clutch.

Im trieing to get my dad to take me still haha. Even my mom is trying to convince him 8) . Hopefully I will go, I mean I got the cash and I got my permit so all he has to do is just take pictures and sell them, he dont have to pay or drive.

good luck dude, and to the dude that said that he is 14, and has a 250: just cause your 14 doesnt mean that youll get stomped, enter a begginer race, I am 15 and can outrun the whole 250 Novice class and almost 3/4 of the intermediate class here. So go try it, and have fun.

tough it out dude, the wind and rain will have the same affect on the other racers as it will with you. i saw your pics, you look pretty damn fast for someone who has never raced before, if you dont choke, i guarantee you can podium your first race.

Good Luck man, if u just sing a tune in ur head while ur waiting for the race and get pumped off it, that will help you forget the butterflys and they will totally be gone once u click it into gear and the gate falls. But i fur gonna try to holse shot u gotta be 100% comitted and beleive that your goin gto get it and give it all that bike has got to give. Otherwise if u fall back try to get inside or outside, there will usually be a pile up and if you avaid it you can move up spots very quickly.

When I get in the grid to race (karts) I used to get really nervous. Well not nervous, but you know what I mean. As far as getting over that, I don't really know how I do it. Having a bike (or kart) that you have inspected, maintained and set up yourself inflicts confidence knowing that everything has been gone over etc. It's the best when somebody like me who does all the maintence myself and starts my own kart goes out and whoops all the hotshots. Sure I have a whole team behind me, but I don't trust going 130 on a kart that somebody else built you know?

Racing a go kart wouldn't make me nervious at all, but then again you go like hell on them it sounds like, so i don't know kinda the same as hitting a jump going about 50 down a chopped up straight.
