And with a win by Nathan Kanney at the final round, the 2009 GNCC series comes to a close. The champs are Paul Whibley in XC1 and Kailub Russell in XC2, and both plan to run the #1 next season and defend their hard-fought titles. The racing resumes in the spring, typically around Daytona Bike Week. See ya there!

Whibs put up a great battle with Josh Strang for nearly the entire season. Not always the fastest, but proving to be the most consistent, Whibs will be back to defend next year, proudly running the big #1 on whatever color he ends up on.
