World Supercross Championship Rider Entries, How to Watch, and Wildcards WSX Canada GP
This Saturday (October 26th) is the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) season opener in Vancouver, Canada, for the WSX Canada GP. Fourteen riders and up to four wildcard entries from around the world come together for the four-round championship Supercross series in each event.
Germany's Ken Roczen is looking to three-peat this WSX Championship series after winning the inaugural championship in 2022 and last year's championship. The big news is that America's Eli Tomac will also participate in all four rounds to challenge Roczen for the title. Other big names on the list are ones to keep an eye out for as well.
The SX2 division is up in the air, with last year's championship winner, Great Britain's Max Anstie, only a wildcard for this weekend's opening round in Vancouver. The 2022 inaugural champion and 2nd in points last year, American Shane McElrath, is back for redemption throughout the four-round series to claim the title. He will have stiff competition throughout the series with the riders who could challenge McElrath by round 4.
Looking ahead to this Saturday night, the series has changed the format from the previous two seasons.
Let's take a peek into the rider entry lists for each class, along with how to watch these WSX races wherever you are in the world.
Here are the press releases from SX Global, advocates of the FIM World Supercross Championship:
